Helping The Man of The Forest, Orangutan.

Have you ever heard of it? Orangutan is a big ape lives mostly in Sumatran and Kalimantan Island (Borneo), Indonesia. You could find them in the border between Malaysia and Indonesia too. Orangutan is one of the endangered animal category. So, it’s our job to keep their existence. The name, orangutan comes from Indonesian. It means “man of the forest”.

In the ancient times, the population of orangutan spread in southeast part of Asia, like Thailand, Vietnam, China and Malaysia. Now, it’s just a few of them. The hunter often kill their mothers to get their son and sell them to the collector.

“Based on recent surveys, biologists believe that only 50,000-60,000 orangutans remain in the wild. They have lost approximately 80% of their forest home in the past 20 years.”

So, do you want to get to know them more? there’s a chance for you to save them !

  1. Nice post. I learn something more challenging on different blogs everyday. It will always be stimulating to read content from other writers and practice a little something from their store. I’d prefer to use some with the content on my blog whether you don’t mind. Natually I’ll give you a link on your web blog. Thanks for sharing.

  2. Its like you read my mind! You seem to know so much about this, like you wrote the book in it or something. I think that you can do with some pics to drive the message home a little bit, but other than that, this is magnificent blog. A great read. I’ll definitely be back.
